Lauren's journey to founding Inspire Academic Services grew out of her career in public education, her passion for helping shape the next generation, and her belief in people's ability to overcome adversity, believe in themselves, and achieve their goals. She's always wanted to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others and leave the world a little better than she found it.

As a Minnesota-licensed educator since 2008, Lauren has worked in classroom and student support roles throughout her career, including leadership positions at both the school and district levels. Alongside her work in education, nearly 30 years of tutoring have given her the opportunity to work closely with learners of all ages and understand their individual experiences. Through these roles, she's come to appreciate just how complex learning can be and how much of a difference the right support, encouragement, and relationships can make.

Throughout Lauren's career, she has observed that struggles with academics, attendance, or motivation often reflected something deeper than what was immediately visible. A learner might be struggling with confidence, executive functioning, mental health, learning differences, stress, relationships, or challenges outside the classroom. She also came to understand that families sometimes need help navigating these challenges and identifying the best ways to support their children. These experiences shaped how she approaches education: with curiosity, compassion, and a willingness to look beyond the obvious to understand the person behind the struggle.

Lauren has always believed that people are capable of more than they sometimes realize, especially when they have someone in their corner who sees their potential and helps them recognize it, too. Asking for help isn't a sign of failure, and needing support doesn't diminish what someone is capable of achieving. Sometimes, having another knowledgeable, caring person to offer a fresh perspective, encouragement, or guidance can make all the difference. This belief has stayed with her throughout my career and continues to guide the work she does and the person she continues to strive to be every day.

In the years following COVID, these experiences strengthened her desire to find a way to make personalized educational support more accessible. Lauren wanted to create something that reflected what she values most about education while reaching learners beyond the walls of a traditional classroom. She envisioned a resource where learners of all ages could receive support, explore their interests, build skills, and develop the confidence to pursue their goals. That vision became Inspire Academic Services.

Building Inspire has allowed Lauren to bring together a team of like-minded educators and professionals who share her commitment to helping others grow. She is incredibly proud of what she has built and is excited about what lies ahead. For her, this work has always been about more than academics. It's about relationships, possibility, and helping people move forward even when the path feels difficult.

Her hope is that every learner who works with Inspire Academics not only gains new knowledge and skills but also gains a stronger belief in themselves and what they can accomplish. She wants people to recognize that challenges are part of their journey, not the limit of their potential. Through Inspire Academic Services, Lauren get to put that belief into practice every day. She also knows firsthand how meaningful it is to have people who believe in you, encourage you, and remind you of what is possible, especially when the path isn't easy.

Lauren wouldn't be where she is today without those people in her own life. She is especially grateful for her husband and their two amazing children, as well as her family and friends, whose love, patience, and unwavering support have helped make this journey possible. Their belief in her has given her the encouragement to pursue this vision and continue doing what she loves: helping others recognize their potential and believe in what they can achieve. In many ways, that is what Inspire means to her—not only inspiring others to grow and reach their goals, but also recognizing the power of believing in one another. She is proud to have built a company rooted in that belief. Lauren's vision is for Inspire Academic Services to continue empowering learners to overcome challenges, discover what's possible, and carry that confidence with them wherever life takes them.
